Your trading partner does not understand/accept the EDI format: what to do?
As we know, there are lots of different EDI formats developed for various industries: EDIFACT, ANSI, X12, TRADACOMS, XML, JSON, ODETTE, VDA, VICS, HIPAA, EANCOM, RosettaNet. Also, there are special in-house formats developed by definite companies.
It can obviously happen that your trading partner uses a standard that differs from yours. So, your systems can not exchange EDI data. In this case, you will need a solution that will translate EDI data in the needed format to process it. This is done by a special mapping software (EDI translator).
