EDI Manager Profile

Qualifications

  • Six to eight years of general management experience with IT or other functional departments
  • Knowledge of IT concepts. Solid understanding of key Electronic Commerce technologies such as EDI and bar coding and their impact in a business environment
  • Must understand and be able to apply re-engineering concepts
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good rapport with upper management

General Responsibilities

  • Manages the entire EDI implementation effort as it relates to other projects
  • Acts as liaison between the EDI team and corporate executives
  • Ensures that EDI is used as a tool to achieve enterprise-wide critical success factors

Specific Responsibilities and Activities

  • Develops and manages strategic plan for EDI
  • Participate in EDI team meetings
