Neiman Marcus EDI testing and certification for vendors
Neiman Marcus EDI testing requires vendors to be registered with GS-1 to obtain a vendor number and purchase UPCs/EANs, have an electronic data interchange solution, and be registered with the InterTrade ecCatalogue. Once these necessary first steps for Neiman Marcus EDI testing and compliancy are completed, a vendor will be ready to test the electronic communication. Once all the necessary steps for Neiman Marcus EDI testing and certification have been accomplished, testing can begin.
An 850 test purchase order will be sent from each The Neiman Marcus Group business division that the vendor has indicated they do business. Upon successful receipt of the 856 Advansed Ship Notice and 810 Invoice, the vendor will be notified by email that they have passed testing. Within five business days, the vendor will also receive an acknowledgement and notification of electronic data interchange activation from The Neiman Marcus Group electronic data interchange team.
The Neiman Marcus Group will fund for testing of five transmissions of the 856 ASN and 810 Invoice from the vendor for each division by qualifier ID. If the transmissions have not passed testing after five attempts or 30 days, the vendor is responsible for any fees to complete testing.
All documents types (850 Purchase Order, 997 Acknowledgement, 856 Advansed Ship Notice, and 810 Invoice) are included in testing. No partial testing may be done. Your test account for free testing will be open for 30 days starting from the day you register. Free testing (for eligible vendors) is only available during this time. If testing is not completed within this period, you can extend your testing period by paying for additional tests before the final day. Certain restrictions apply.
The Neiman Marcus Group strictly adheres to the VICS standards as specified in the Retail Industry Conventions and Implementation Guidelines for Electronic Data Interchange.
